Why a vampire, why Shanghai, why the 1920s?

I have just officially launched my new book, The Hopping Ghost.

It's a ripping yarn in the roaring 20s, about a sassy Scottish vampire learning to be a human again in old Shanghai.

I know that's a weird combination. At the launch, I finally got the chance to explain how this story came to be.
